been a hell of a year. A weird one with plenty of ups and downs. Sickness has been the biggest issue in the Ewington household, even as I write this Zack is laid up in bed asleep rather than playing downstairs with his Christmas toys. I've had a dizzy/balance issue I'm putting down to stress/tiredness.
On the positive side of things I've been doing plenty of writing. I've created a new IP with a very talented artist called Mack Chater, 'Statik' should be completed late 2013. The continuing saga of the year is of course 'Overrun' which I have co-written with Matt Woodley and art by Paul Green, which has been going well and almost done on the inks. I've also just finished another 120 page comic called 'The 12' which I've been told has plenty of legs in the Hollywood circuit. I've also written a first issue of another IP called 'Gone to Hell' which I'm hoping to find a home for. Other than that I've written two Fighting Fantasy comics with Ian Livingstone for 'Deathtrap Dungeon' and 'Freeway Fighter' just got to find a way to get it funded/published.
I also had my second comic released, 'BlueSpear' hit the shelves in Feb and it's been warmly received so it's good to keep the publishing momentum going (Kudos to the Com.X guys). I only hope I can find the funds to get 'X' published. I also managed to get stories accepted in FutureQuake's Something Wicked #8 (2 in fact!) and also I've penned a 12 page Dredd to appear in Zarjaz which has been accepted, very excited about that!
2013 on the '45' film front has been interesting, and I hope I can talk more about that in the coming months.
I've also taken a big step personally with my properties which I can share with you in Jan, it's an exciting announcement for me and one I hope opens a few doors.
There's lots of things swirling around at the moment, just got to hope one of them comes to the boil and delivers big time. Whoever you are, here's hoping we all have a productive 2013.
